Privacy Policy
HempPlastics.com (operated by Talent Group) (“HempPlastics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website hempplastics.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to visitors located in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
1. Information we collect
We collect personal information in three ways:
- Information you give us — your name, business email, company, role, and the content of any messages you send us through contact, lead, or RFQ forms.
- Information collected automatically — IP address, device and browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and similar log data, captured via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Information from third parties — payment confirmation metadata from Stripe, deliverability metadata from our email service provider, and limited enrichment from public business directories.
2. How we use your information
- To deliver content, reports, and newsletters you request;
- To respond to inquiries, RFQs, and support requests;
- To process payments for premium reports and sponsorships;
- To measure traffic and improve the Site (analytics);
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud and abuse;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Legal bases (EU/UK)
For visitors in the EU and UK, our legal bases under the GDPR are: contract performance (delivering reports you purchase), legitimate interests (operating and improving the Site, fraud prevention), consent (non-essential cookies and marketing emails), and legal obligations (tax, accounting, response to lawful requests).
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, customer support);
- Sponsors or supplier directory listings only when you submit an RFQ or lead form intended for them;
- Authorities, when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and property; and
- Acquirers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising-related cookies may constitute “sharing” or “sale” under California law; you may opt out via the cookie banner or by emailing privacy@hempplastics.com.
5. International transfers
We are based in the United States. When we transfer personal data from the EU, UK, Switzerland, or other regions, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or equivalent safeguards.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Newsletter and lead records are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Order and tax records are retained for the period required by applicable law (typically 7 years).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete your personal information; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hempplastics.com. We do not discriminate against users who exercise privacy rights.
8. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest where supported, scoped access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Site at your own risk.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@hempplastics.com.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our consent management platform is configured to honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of sale and sharing where applicable. If you would like to verify or escalate the application of a GPC signal to your visit, email privacy@hempplastics.com. Because there is no industry consensus on Do Not Track, we do not respond differently to DNT browser signals.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on the Site or by email.
